Working in partnership with NHS Trusts, Mental Health Services, Police Forces, and Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs), we ensure every conveyance is carried out safely, professionally, and with the utmost respect for the individual’s dignity and wellbeing.
Our experienced crews understand the unique challenges associated with Section 136 detentions and are trained in PMVA, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation techniques in line with BILD and RRN standards. Every journey is risk assessed and carefully planned to provide the safest and most appropriate method of transport, ensuring the needs of both the service user and accompanying professionals are met.

Our teams are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, allowing us to respond rapidly to urgent referrals and time-critical requests anywhere across the UK.
With over 35 years of experience, we are committed to delivering compassionate, reliable, and legally compliant Section 136 transport services, supporting healthcare professionals and emergency services in providing timely access to places of safety and appropriate mental health care.
Section 135(1) and 135(2) Warrant Support
Professional Support Following Mental Health Act Warrants
PSS Secure Transport works alongside Police Forces, Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs), Crisis Resolution Teams, and NHS Mental Health Services to support individuals subject to Section 135 warrants.
Section 135(1)
A Section 135(1) warrant authorises police officers to enter a private property and remove an individual believed to be suffering from a mental disorder to a designated Place of Safety for assessment.
Following the safe removal of the individual by police officers, PSS provides secure and dignified transportation to the identified Place of Safety or healthcare facility.
Section 135(2)
A Section 135(2) warrant enables police officers to return a patient who is absent without leave from a hospital or other place where they are legally required to remain.
Once the individual has been located and detained by police, our specialist transport teams can assist with the safe return of the patient to the appropriate healthcare setting.
